Entertainer for son's 3rd birthday in west London

I'm looking for some recommendations for a kids entertainer for my son's 3rd birthday. We are doing a casual picnic in the park in west London and would like someone to entertain the kids with some games and activities. Doesn't need to be anything fancy! Any recommendations gratefully received.

Why not just bring along a bubble machine and a few games? Casual picnic screams casual entertainment to me, rather than organised.

I was just about to say bubble machine! I think it depends on the ages of the guests - if it is mainly children your son's age (i.e. turning 3, some still 2) they won't be able to play organised games anyway. It's still a bit hit and miss at 4th birthday parties where some can/do join in with party games and like them, but some won't do it. Hiring some soft play stuff could work well?

What's wrong with some pass the parcel and then kicking a football around for a bit, followed by picnic and cake? An hour, and you're all done - which surely is long enough for 3 year olds?

Thanks for those suggestions. I guess we’re looking for more of a facilitator to keep the kids interested in balls, bubbles etc. We can bring all those bits but it would be great to have someone to keep the kids engaged, blow up balloons, be silly etc to break up the afternoon a bit. The parents will all be there and we’ll have food at some point, but would be nice to give the kids a little extra stimulation for an hour or so and to give the parents a short break (I’m not expecting all kids to be fully engaged at the same time - toddlers will do whatever they want in the end!)

Stripey Wipey would be perfect for you. Covers London. We used him every year for ten years, he's excellent. Look him up on Facebook x
