I'm putting some training together on children's birthday parties and would love any ideas you have that you're happy to share. This can be both things that have worked and things that haven't, for children 1-10 years old. So things like activity ideas, invites, present ideas, party bags, crowd control, entertainers etc.! Just if you have any tidbits....

One thing that’s been a real hit at my children’s parties (in the 2–8 age range) is using bubble machines. They’re brilliant for setting the tone straight away—kids go wild chasing bubbles, and it keeps them busy while guests are still arriving. They are really affordable and can be used year after year.

Another idea that has worked well for me when I have wanted to create a magical atmosphere is using a snow machine. You don’t need loads of space for them, and they give that “wow” moment—especially great at the end of a party for a memorable finish or during singalongs and dancing. Even older kids (and adults) seem to love it when “snow” starts falling indoors. You can get compact models that are cheaper than you would think, and again you can use them year after year.

They’re both relatively low-maintenance but add loads of atmosphere, which means less pressure on you to keep the energy up constantly.

Hope that helps! Happy to share more ideas if you need 😊
