Ruby wedding anniversary present ideas HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would really appreciate some ideas for a ruby wedding anniversary present for the in - laws. Really wanted to do something that represented the special anniversary with something other than the usual boring stuff!!

my parents were given a rose called "Ruby wedding" for theirs.

We all got professional photos done of ourselves (i.e. children and grandchildren) then put them in matching frames.

what about an album with pics that span from their engagement to now, inc all children and GCs?

We did the rose thing as well

Am interested as also have to get something in august for my mum and dad. I was thinking a cherry tree possibly. Ages ago there was a good thread about this, I have no idea how you go about looking for it though. One of those newspapers you can get from the day they were married? Ring round their friends and get photos of them 40 years ago?

we did a surprise party in the church hall where they had their reception (that was the gift from their kids). I did think DF might kill us.

We got my parents this (although I'm sure I didn't pay quite that much in John Lewis !)

I made my mum and dad hamper ful of red foods,bath stuff etc. They liked it.

We gave my parents a cherry tree and a hamper based on a ruby theme - there was a red glass bowl, a red photo frame with a photo from their wedding day, red bubble bath, red chocs, port, red bath ducks (!) and various other little red nick nacks. They were really pleased with it and all the effort.

We bought pink champagne and ruby red glasses.
