Hotel or pub/restaurant with accommodation in Derby/Nottingham area for group party

I am organising a group party, with people travelling from northern England and London, so we need a central location.

Somewhere around Derby/Nottingham would be ideal. The specific location doesn't matter so much, more the proximity to the M1 or A1 for ease of travel.

It's for around 30 people; 20 adults and 10 children. We will all need overnight accommodation for one night (approx 10 bedrooms).

We must have access to outside space throughout the day for the children.

I'm struggling to research suitable venues as I don't know this area at all.

Would any mumsnetters have any recommendations? It doesn't need to be a golf or spa hotel. We would consider a nice pub with space for the group, as long as there was enough on-site accomodation.

There's plenty around East Midlands airport which may suit you - a Hilton, a Holiday Inn at the M1, A52 junction, a Double Tree on the A610 just off J26 of the M1. All within easy access of Nottingham and Derby and decent sized venues
