Hi 👋 I am to be grandma in April and am trying to organise a baby shower in Sheffield where I do not live as it's my daughters home city! I have no idea of venues but would it if you ladies of the area could point me in the correct direction! Places mentioned so far Dysh, Brown's, Mosborough hall, feast in bawtry? Any info on any of these!! Eeekk!!Thanks for any input mums!!

What type of activity do you want do? If it’s just a sit down meal somewhere there are plenty of restaurants. Browns is a bit crap IMO, but they do events.

Just an afternoon tea thing thanks opalsquid ! With a nice area we can put balloons up and chat. Thanks for the info on Browns tho! X

My old uni mate Rob owns the steel cauldron

Feast in Bawtry is in Doncaster and if you need taxis they're very expensive and difficult to get. Whilst feast is nice it's just a cafe nothing special about it.. does a nice breakfast though. X

Another vote for the steel cauldron

We had christening party in our local Slug and Lettuce. They do baby showers too. Check out their website. There is one in Sheffield City centre I think.

The Bothy at Wentworth Garden Centre (Rotherham) is lovely. Even though it is a garden centre, the Bothy restaurant feels special, (there is another restaurant there called The Walled Garden, but it is big and noisy!)

The afternoon tea is divine, the staff are lovely and it is very popular for baby showers.
Check out the reviews and the diners photos on Trip Advisor.

Hi all,
Contacted loads but finally went with Brocco as they seem helpful and not too expensive. The afternoon tea buffet looks small ( no pastries or cake or tea!) but dd aunt is providing a cake and daddy is buying everyone a drink. I will let you know how it goes in March as there's not a lot of info out there! 😀 thank you all!!
