I have 2 things I am trying to organise.

I am in an apartment so less room to work and to serve than my old house.

My family are visiting next weekend and staying in a hotel across the square which doesn't really do breakfasts. I don't have access to normal UK options - but I have streaky bacon, eggs, cheese, tomatoes etc as well as fruit, cooked meat, yoghurt, juice, and will buy croissants daily. Should I plan to do a full-on breakfast (for up to 8) every day, or pick a day of scrambled eggs (with tomato and cheese) and bacon, and a cooked meats/cheese/fruit salad morning and a "something else" morning (I'll have 3 mornings to organise)?

And while we will definitely eat out 1 night, and likely a 2nd, I need to feed 5 on the 1st night. I'm working up to the day before and need to do a 2 hour round trip to collect them from the airport in late afternoon. Cant have mushrooms as main veg, 1 doesn't really like pasta, and while can have flavour, can't have lot of spice/heat. Am just feeling like all my usuals won't work and hoping someone has a crowd pleasing idea. All I know so far is that a main course will be followed by cheese.

Am in Brussels so have generally similar to UK/Ireland but some differences. And no car so trundle everything home in my granny trolley - and not easy to get to supermarket midweek with work.

All ideas welcome.

I should have said they're coming for my 50th so I want it to be nice but manageable as I was supposed to get a couple more days off (way beyond me to change that!).
