Can't beleive I haven't' got him anything yet!

Any advice?

Tickets to concerts??

He likes cars/motor racing/normal boring bloke music.

He's spent last weekend driving at silverstone, so not that.

He'll be 36.

Help!

tour of silverstone maybe. Or a drive in a ferrari

LynetteScavo · 06/04/2008 21:38

No, he drove around silverstone last weekend, so it wouldn't be very original.

Ok, sorry, ahem should have read properly.
What sort of boring bloke music then, or could you get him a ticket to a show or something.

WanderingTrolley · 06/04/2008 21:39

An IPOD? Love mine.

WanderingTrolley · 06/04/2008 21:48

I am the Stig t-shirt

Private Eye subscription.

DVDs box set of Men Behaving Badly, series 1-6 on Amazon for about £25

LynetteScavo · 06/04/2008 21:52

Oooh, TOP GEAR is a great idea, but a long wait untill Novmber...we are going out for a meal in the evening. He wouldn't want an ipod - but I would!

He would love that T-shirt, almost as much as ds1 would love him wearing it! Thankyou!

You can change your name to MrsStig

ernest · 06/04/2008 22:22

can I join in then, cos it's my dh'd (38th) birthday coming up. He's getting me an iPhone so feel under pressure to get something GOOD (not money in card and nice meal) - no disrespect to ? forgotten name, cos her efforts for her ingrate twunt dh were truly lovelz, but I ain't no cook, not when 3 fussy arsed kids are involved anyway. So he like things like the Onion & Private Eye - already has subscription. We don't live in UK, but by birthday we will actually be living together in same country again . Oh, and I'll be 35 weeks pregnant and just moved house so won't know town and won't have much energy.

He has an ipod and well, everything I think. He does like gagdets. Anything new I've missed? He's getting a Blackberry from work. Am at a loss.

ernest · 07/04/2008 08:15

bump - any birthday boy ideas from the morning crowd by any miracle?

MrsStig · 07/04/2008 11:19

Look I am now Mrs Stig very appropriate, as I live in a dump. Get it?

WanderingTrolley · 07/04/2008 11:27

lol

WanderingTrolley · 07/04/2008 11:30

Gadget Shop

I Want One Of Those

Not sure where you are or if they'll deliver outside UK, ernest. I've ordered from IWOOT, they're fine, never ordered from Gadget Shop.

ernest · 07/04/2008 15:20

Thanks for ideas wt, looked but didn't see anything. we are moving soon, and I know he wants a new hobby (I am about to produce dc4, you'd think that'd be enough...?)

he plays guitar and likes cycling, tho doesn't do much of the latter. oh and some twunt knicked his bike but a new guitar or bike are too personal to get, in that you need to choose which one feels best yourself?

WanderingTrolley · 07/04/2008 17:01

Subscription to cycling magazine?

ernest · 07/04/2008 18:04

will look into mag subscription, ta. any more ideas? Couldn't see a cycling one, but holding out for another once I get a chance to rummage. MAybe I could persuade him to take up cross stitch?

maidamess · 07/04/2008 18:06

have a look here,unusual things

WanderingTrolley · 07/04/2008 18:34

Presents for Men - not porn!

A bit useless outside the UK, but maybe there's something similar where you are?

Google 'cycling magazine' - there are loads of them.

If you're moving soon, get him a gym subscription, he'll need muscles to heft the sofa to exactly the right position for you. Or what about a DIY course?

Depending on how good he is on the guitar, would lessons be any good?

Drop the Dead Donkey dvds...God I loved that show...

ernest · 07/04/2008 19:40

you're brilliant, thanks for the tips. Sorry, when I said I couldn't find a cycling mag, I mean, icouldn't find one that 'fit' him, there was a racing mag, a pro mag, a mountain biking mag, none of these seem to apply to him - he is no professional! Guitar lessons aren't a bad idea.

If I may say so, I normally get him really great, thoughtful presents, but what with the imminent move and the imminent baby, my mind is a blank. I've been raving about the iPhone, so I'm quite easy. But cannot think of out for him this time. When I've finished turfing the urchins into bed I'll have a look, ta

"this" & "this".

Sorry, second suggestion was supposed to be this. Had too many windows open!
