80's outfit for plus size

It's my 50th birthday party soon and I am at a loss what to wear. I am size 22 and struggling to find anything I like. I really don't want to wear leggings and tutu but still want to keep in the 80's theme. Something a bit more classier since it's my day.

Any batwing sleeve top - just add shoulder pads. And paper bag waist trousers, and stiletto court shoes.

I wore that sort of thing a lot in the 80s. I never once wore leggings and a tutu.

Also full A line midi skirts with a high waist and smooth panel over the stomach, with the pleats or flair from below the panel were big in the 80s. Again with a batwing top with shoulder pads, and stiletto courts.

This style (but not the fabric) is the sort of thing I mean.

Alternatively, as it's your party, you could just say the theme is cancelled (why did you choose something you would find difficult?)

I'm a size 18 and I found a neon pink long crochet top I wore with a vest top underneath and some black trousers. I also got some cheap neon pink accessories from Amazon. I'll try and find a link.

Pair of dungarees

1. Add a red neckerchief = Dexys Midnight Runners.
2. Add a baggy jumper and a few CND badges = Greenham Common Protestor.

Could you channel Alison Moyet, long black dress, loose black blazer/coat lots of pearls and back combed hair? Fabulous!

I can't remember wearing tutu either but when you put 80's party wear this is all that seems to be coming up.
