Babies first birthday

Hi I have a few items in mind I have already started shopping for some small toys for my little ones first birthday. I’m just unsure what to get for a big gift? Any ideas for the best presents to help with babies development but that’s also fun? Thanks in advance.

Put the money into savings, or Premium bonds.
At that age your little one will enjoy the wrapping paper the most.
