My 6 year old child was at a birthday party last weekend. While there I was speaking to another mum and she stated her child's birthday party was next weekend and my son is invited. We spoke at length about this and discussed presents she may like etc.
The child gave out the invitations during the week and my son did not get one. What is going on?

She was very clear that your son was invited, so I would just message her confirming the details. The party invite is probably in your child's tray or at the bottom of the bookbag.

Send a casual message to the mum just wondering about the party, DC didn't get a formal invite. It's no problem if they've had to curb numbers but you are making plans for that weekend and need to know whether you need to work round the party or not.
