For children aged 2 to 7. I am going to make nice glittery and scented home made play dough and stick in a pretty cellophane bag. Piece of cake obviously.

A friend had fab eco friendly bath colour tablets, but I have tracked them down and they are 50p a pop

I have about 20 guests

any ideas please? how little can you get away with putting in the bag?

I like the lucky dip thing
we have no time to decorate stuff at party, I did do that last year though

Lully, no, there isn't a freezer or fridge

what's wrong with children opening playdough on the way home?

yipee, she liked the whizzy planes, my decent idea for today has finally arrived and I can now stop straining lol

lullabyloo · 11/03/2008 20:59

I think it will be fine if you take it out of your freezer at the last minute & take in a cool box.If wrapped in greaseproof it wont make anything soggy

lullabyloo · 11/03/2008 21:00

you can get the jelly much much cheaper

dizzydixies · 11/03/2008 21:04

now I know you said you didn't want food but seeing as I snuck in the plastic tat and got away with it please have a peek at these. I got some made up for dd1's bday last year with her name and a pic of dora on it and everyone loved them - wasn't too quick to point out I didn't make them

these

dizzydixies · 11/03/2008 21:06

should have pointed out, we got the chocolate covered marshmallow ones, she's added loads since I last looked

FrannyandZooey · 11/03/2008 21:06

gosh dixies, v impressive

Lully I think the party bags have to be ready to go on the day, really, otherwise just another thing to do while at the hall
wonderful idea though

Hmmmm....£3.99 for the jelly kit
I am sure you could get a baby wooden spoon, little jelly mould & sachet of jelly crystals for about £1.50.
Do you have a good kitchen shop near you Franny?

FrannyandZooey · 11/03/2008 21:08

problem is, £1.50 x 25 = lots

but what a fabulous idea

franny was in asda this morning and they have lovely wee windmills for £1 each - bargin and I thought of you

KatyMac · 12/03/2008 17:18

They do nice windmills in Baker Ross (36p)

& very pretty flower stamps (45p)

& insect stamps (45p)

Couple of stamps and a windmill each would be about

KatyMac · 12/03/2008 17:19

Sorry forgot to add up £1.26

Maybe just the stamps? one with the playdoh & the cake?

FrannyandZooey · 12/03/2008 18:04
