How can kids ‘use’ a party bag item at the party?

I’m having a glow party for my daughter’s birthday and as part of this I’ve bought some glow things for each kid. That has obviously cost a bit so am not keen to buy more plastic tat for the party bags.

Currently in the actual party bags will be cake and about 4 sweets/mini choc bars only.

if I put the glow things in the bags they won’t get to enjoy them at the disco (and it’s not much of a glow party) but is there any way of signalling to the kids that they were also given something during the party so they aren’t underwhelmed by the bags?

I'd ask them when you hand the glow items out. Do you want your glow glasses now or in your party bag?

Give the bags at the beginning of the party, with or without sweets, then just hand out cake/sweets at the end and remind them the glow stuff is theirs to keep.

Yes, you get the party bags out and ask the kids to put the glow sticks in their party bag when they get it.

I threw a similar party. The kids were given glow gifts during the party and I just gave out cake at the end.

Stick a bag of crisps in the party bag too to make it look more substantial and give them out at the end to signal it's home time
