7yo party at home, doable?

My DD turns 7 in about six weeks, she's having an expensive party with her hobby friends (a pony event) so it's pretty much wiped the yearly party budget if she wants one for her school friends too.
I've said it will therefore probably need to be at home, but trying to not make it too unexciting! She gets invited to a lot of parties so would like to reciprocate.

We have a reasonably large kitchen/dining area and separate living room, reckon we could accommodate about 15 kids (can put parents that stay in the living room). Does a kitchen disco sound ok? it will be dark in the late afternoon by then. Any ideas of making it more fun/ideas for party games for almost tweens welcome. We tried a pinata one year and it was a disaster indoors but can keep an eye on the weather.

It will be both boys and girls.
TIA

I would try to keep the numbers down. 15 is probably too many even with a large area. I'd stick to max 10.

You need a specific activity that keeps them busy for a set amount of time - perhaps check out a specific craft or similar that you can lay out and get ready and supervise.

Games are good.

Limit the time spent at the party. eg
14:00-1415 - guests arrive, general excitement.
14:15-1445 - craft activity
14:45-1515 - selection of games - musical statues, musical chairs, pass the parcel etc.
15:15-1545 - food

If you have other games etc you can put out for general playing, that can work well - eg a selection of board games or whatever.

Crafting is a great idea! Will try and think of a theme. Thank you!
Could do a dance competition and musical statues, that ties in nicely.
