Present ideas - 1 year old

My son will be one next month and i'm looking for present ideas - he's active and likes crawling all over the place and pulling himself up to stand, likes opening and closing drawers and knocking over towers that i build. He already has the fisher price laugh n learn house and the sit to stand giraffe (got for xmas) - any great toys i could get him???

a baby swing for the garden as summer is coming?

DD got some building blocks in a babywalker

i second both of the above ideas - my ds got these for first birthday and they are still played with now 2 and half years later...

also a ride on trike thing?

family history time... for their first birthdays they got -
DS1 (winter) ride-on thing that converted from rocker to rider to push-himself thing (IYKWIM)
DS2 (summer) swing & duplo blocks
DD - little tykes car with hooooge parent handle on the back.

Ride-on lasts til they are about 3
all still using the swing
DS2 (now 4) & DD still using the duplo
DD and DS2 still using the car

DD got a large cow wheelybug (doesn't look very large) for her first birthday. Very cute!

also got a push/stand up horse on wheels which she loves too
