Hi, anyone got any good ideas for 10/11 year old boys and girls (mostly boys) to play at a birthday party?

How much space will you have? e.g. is it in a hall or in a house?

In a house, not very big but have a garden so could do treasure hunt type thing if the weather is dry.
We are planning to play football for the first hour on a pitch near by then back to the house. Just need some things up my sleeve in case they get restless!

Picture consequences: each has piece of paper and a pencil; draw a head and neck, fold over so just the bottom of the neck can be seen; pass to next person who draws the body ; fold over; pass on; draw the legs; pass on draw the feet; pass on, open up. sounds naff and simple but my DS and mates loved it.

Marsbar game: Mars bar on a plate; take it in turns to throw a dice; if you get a 6, you have to put on a hat, scarf, and gloves, then try to open the paper with a knife and fork. Once open, you can cut off a tiny slice. You can keep going til someone else throws a 6. they love this but you have to police the mars bar eating - one small piece and they have to chew and finish ti before the next slice.

Memory game: 10 items on a tray, a couple of minutes to memorise; then cover tray and they have to write down what they remember.

Also charades or pictionary-type game would be good at that age.

Hope that helps, if not at least I've bumped for other ideas!
