I cant find anything that feels right, (it cant be in anyway religious or on an organ) Ideally I wanted something a little bit modern, along the lines of "Bittersweet Symphony" but my friend had that, so am stumped, can I be nosey and asked what you chose?

Hi mummyplonk
I'm getting married this June and having Abba I do i do i do walking down the aisle(is that what they call it in the reg office?) Then Pachelbel canon for signing the register not sure for way out yet-sorry not much help you could google 50 wedding songs and see what comes up

missorinoco · 13/02/2008 20:39

palchelbel canon for signing for me too!
and cheek to cheek for the way out (as in the one from the english patient, not chris de burgh's lady in red, before you all vomit)

pick more music than you think you'll need. signing goes on for longer than you'd expect.

have fun!

Songbird- but the one by Oasis.

Google it or g on youtube- its a FAB song.

My friend had it at her civil ceremony

harpsichordcarrier · 13/02/2008 20:44

not really modern but I came down the aisle to the arrival of the queen of sheba (Handel) and back up again to the overture from the Marriage of Figaro.

margoandjerry · 13/02/2008 20:45

Not modern but I would have Moonlight Serenade by Glen Miller. Is so lovely.

tiredemma · 13/02/2008 20:46

Here's the lyrics.

Talkin to the songbird yesterday
Flew me to a place not far away
She's a little pilot in my mind
Singin songs of love to pass the time
Gonna write a song so she can see
Give her all the love she gives to me
Talk of better days that have yet to come
Never felt this love from anyone

She's not anyone
She's not anyone
She's not anyone

A man can never dream these kind of things
Especially when she came and spread her wings
Whisper in my ear the things I'd like
Then she flew away into the night
Gonna write a song so she can see
Give her all the love she gives to me
Talk of better days that have yet to come
Never felt this love from anyone

She's not anyone
She's not anyone
She's not anyone

Me and DH wanted Bittersweet Symphony - but I didn't like the sentiment of the title so we had a classical piece which is quite similar. Pachelbel (sp) Canon in D.

WallOfSilence · 13/02/2008 20:47

These arms of mine: Otis Redding

cece · 13/02/2008 20:50

Our first dance was

You Do Something To Me - Paul Weller

walking out we had Lou Reid - Perfect Day - no on told me what it was about till afterwards...

cathy5 · 13/02/2008 20:57

tiredemma · 13/02/2008 20:57
