Its my ds 5th next month, we've booked a soft play party as we have a newborn and i cbf with hosting one myself. Any way invites went out today 2.5 weeks notice. I got a instant no from one (say there away) i should add the party is the weekend before half term.

My ds did the guest list and has invited 13. Im so anxious no one will respond or show!
Also we're fairly rural so the party is a good 20-30 min drive. I think the distance and one saying no already has heightened my existing anxiety about it all! i genuinely feel i want to cancel 😞

Hey, just chase up in a week. Say you need to confirm numbers with venue and sort party bags. Even if there’s 4-6 he’ll have a canny time in softplay. If no one confirms (which I doubt), tell DS the softplay venue are having to close that day so you’re going to rearrange but you’ll take him out with a friend?! :)

I could have written this last year. Please please don't worry. I invited DD's whole class, got several no's the first day then nothing for like a week. I panicked, invited random friends kids and friends of friends and ended up with 43 children attending 😂 people are just crap at replying
. I spent a whole week crying (somewhat ridiculous) and she ended up having the best day of her life. Keeps asking about the next one (no chance, can't take it! Ha!). It will be fine and even if people don't turn up, you make the best out of who does. Please don't worry x

you can add siblings welcome notes to the parents one week before if your RSVP still seemed low, to bump up the number.

13 is quite a small number for a soft play party where people will have to travel 30 mins to attend. I would maybe bump the numbers up a bit with kids of friends/relatives. If you know any of the families dont drive or the parents work weekends etc I would offer lifts.

Have you had any confirmations yet @LetsBekindx?

The party was today, had some late responses but everyone invited came and a good time was had by all!

Looking for advice please!
NHS negligence!
I had a botched elective c section in December 2022.

Has anyone got any experience going after the NHS for compensation? Id want to use a law firm on a no win no fee basis.
Im based in Cornwall if it makes a difference! Thanks

I'm so sorry that you've been through this @LetsBekindx. Have you had any support at all, say through Birth Trauma Association?
