My daughter is 8. She wants to have a sleepover with some of her mates, but she wnts to do something unique.

I'm a single dad, so please give me some ideas.

I do kids birthday parties where I go and give them all face masks and make-overs and play good pop music and get real girlie. Is there anyone near you who does that kind of thing? 8 year olds these days like to think they're real grown ups so something for "big girls".
hope that helps - good luck!

Are you mad man? lol

That said I can't think of a single unique idea. Of course the best thing is to talk to her about what she thinks would be unique then work out just how crazy you are.

Could you take them out for the afternoon/evening, before bringng them hoe for sleepover - might make the time spent at home (and potential damamge!) more bearable?! On the plus side, what about getting them to make something that they can take home as a reminder of the party, somethig crafty, or whatabout making pizzas (bases and different toppings) as they are bound to have different likes and dislikes - oh and another thought, make sure you and dd agree how many people whe can invite and some ground rules - where they can/n't go, what they can/n't do or use before guests arrive... Good luck!

Oh I forgot to say, my neice is almost 8 and we have been talking about doing a "fashion show" for ber birthday. so lots of glittery makeup and just their own clothes to swop/share (adult supervision required to make sure skirts dont get rolled up if your daughter is anything like my niece!!)

Thanks everyone!

I think we'll ether do an outing in the evening or make something to eat.

Yes, I am a mad dad, but I've got 3 charming princesses!
