Planning to order pizza, how much roughly would a 5/6yr olds will eat? How much should i consider for each child?

There will be other food, such as crisps, fruit, biscuits, etc

Thanks

I’d say count for 3 slices per child although I imagine with all the other snacks around most would only eat 2, but I’d rather have too much than too little

Ok thanks, that seems about what I've see. In other parties, about 3 slices max.
Just need to figure out how many pizza s for about 17 kids and their younger siblings so 20 in total

If you don’t want to price go get too high then I’d limit it to 2 slices per child (if a parent said that to me at a birthday party I’d think it was very reasonable) and buy some potato smileys or something to throw in the oven to bulk it out

Assuming you've checked there are no dietary restrictions? Such as coeliac, dairy allergy or lactose intolerance, vegan etc?

Should be nut free, no other restrictions.

With parents who will be there, I think i'll put a spread of mini sandwiches or would that be too much?

Few fizzy drinks, cups and biscuits would be sufficient for parents?

Ask the store to double cut the pizza slices. Easier for kids and less waste.

depends on the time of the party. my party was at 3:30pm-530pm everyone came with full stomach, I calculated 2-3 slices per person, but in the end.... average everyone ate 1 or half a slice ... and depends on where you ordered, i ordered papajohns XXL, the slices are HUGE!

goldenochre · 28/02/2023 12:36

I have asked for four 18" pizzas -22 kids in total.

The party is at 2:30pm- the main food is pizza but i am putting in some biscuits, crisps and maybe fruit and then cake.

DH reckons we should order one mire pizza just in case the kids go crazy 😬 with slices

Finger sandwiches, biscuits, some fizzy drink and tea available for parents. Tea curtesy of the hall people. But they can grab a slice pizza if thats what they like.

I am now worried of food waste but i'll keep containers for parents who wants to take some slice home and double slicing the pizza is a good idea!!

Thanks, i am less stressed now just thinking that any leftover food will be pizza and shelf life ones which can be eaten later
