First Holy Communion Party

Hello,
We have our daughter's first holy communion this summer! My older daughter had hers during lockdown and I didnt have the opportunity to celebrate. As this is in summer and we are a family of winter borns, I would like to use this occasion to throw a nice garden party for friends and family 50 people.
We have to first have the communion at church and then come back home for food and drinks. My question is , what should be the format of my party? Should it be all arrive, just eat, talk and cut the cake and leave? Or should I have some sort of entertainment planned? Given its first holy communion- I am a bit lost of what would bring the party together? Any help would be appreciated.
I have an idea for food, drinks and party bags. Thank you.

I live in Spain and have sat through my fair share.
The above sounds perfect.

Sometimes there were a few games/bouncy castle for the DCs but not often, it tended to be about food for the grown ups and a chance to get presents and show off tbh.

What time of day is the mass? My sons was at 9.30am which made the celebration a bit tricky!

Is the church doing a celebration afterwards. We have cake in the hall afterwards.

Thanks for your feedback. The church mass is at 3:30 to 430 pm. So I am hoping we can be back in our garden from 5 pm onwards for a celebration. May be I will keep some coloring sheets for the children!

Colouring sheets on a seperate table out of the wind sounds good. But something active is good, too. Perhaps a ball or two with a small soccer goal?
