Recommendations for restaurant in Bath/Bristol area for 80th birthday lunch

Hi. Am looking for recommendations for a nice restaurant for Sunday lunch for an 80th birthday celebration. Bristol, Bath
or surrounding area would be great. Would be good if Sunday lunch not the only option on the menu as have a DS attending who can be a bit funny with food, so options like fish goujons would be helpful. Not essential though, as if needed he could survive on roast potatoes and Yorkshire pud! Looking for somewhere where 80 year will feel split, but not intimidated. And have 3 going who are 13, 11 and 8 (none would cause a scene anywhere, but also wouldn't want them to feel totally uncomfortable). Can't really do afternoon tea (which could have been nice) as 80 yr old is a didiabetic. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I used to live in Bath and my choices for a nice lunch out would be:

Hare & Hounds - bonus of parking and not "in town"
Marlborough Tavern
The Ivy
Coppa Club
Walcot House

We went to The Ivy in Bristol and it was lovely. Had a private room - which was good as both grandparents wear hearing aids, and we could relax with the kids - and the main restaurant was buzzing. Was brunch men - with good interesting choices, and there was a kids menu too. The ice cream sundae was very nice according to my 10 year old. Would recommend it.
