Bowling party for 7th birthday

Hello,

I am considering a bowling party for my DD’s 7th birthday. Can’t find any other suitable, available options. There will be many 6 year olds and I am wondering won’t the kids get bored waiting around for their turn? Since it looks like we will have two lanes. Is a bowling party any fun for kids? Has anybody had experience of it.
The other option is pirates landing in Camberly.
Thank you

My DC always loved going to bowling parties! I’m pretty sure they never got bored, they all like watching each other have their turn and cheering/laughing 😊

My kids loved bowling parties at that age. They won't get bored waiting. Just make sure you have enough adults around as the kids will stagger around holding bowling balls and you'll be waiting for someone to drop one on their foot, or someone else's foot!

Going to throw an alternative opinion in here. I have always said we would never do a bowling party, having taken my DS to a few and seen precisely that, kids getting bored between their turns and completely losing interest by the end of the game. Fast forward to DS' 8th birthday party a few weeks ago, we had left it too late to book anything else so reluctantly went with bowling. We had 2 lanes for 14 kids, and by the end of their games, there were about 3 or 4 kids who were still concentrating on the bowling, while the rest were messing about on the arcades directly behind the bowling lanes, and we had to keep running around getting them to come back to have their go on bowling. Never again!

Tough choice. Sounds like the kids could get put off with the waiting. Thank you all.

I had a bowling party for my DC's 7th birthday because it was what they were desperate to do. All the children had a great time, they didn't get bored waiting for their turn, they were cheering their friends on etc. It was completely hassle free for me, the bowling alley gave us a party host at our lanes and the food in the restaurant after meant no prep before or clearing up after for me .
