Baby is turning one, I'm looking for ideas?

Looking for ideas and suggestions as to what to do for my baby turning one in November? I was thinking of just asking family to meet at the wacky then go for a meal but I feel like the wacky is still a bit old for him to get much enjoyment out of? Ideas please?

Also present ideas would be good too!!?

We had close family only at ours, buffet and cake and opening presents and it was lovely. Think will do same for second birthday too. Enjoy whatever you do!

I was also thinking of doing this however we don't have much space in the house for everyone really so it would be pretty cramped! Xx

What’s the wacky?

1st birthday party is really for the parents. Baby is not going to care or remember.

present ideas - a baby walker, little rocking horse, a ride on toy, smart trike - something that will be useful and fun in the year ahead.

My son age 9 now still has a wooden fire engine toy we gave him on his 1st birthday - a nice keepsake kind of toy that he could still play with.

Yeah I just want to do something he will enjoy nothing extravagant.

The wacky is short for wacky wear house I think they're all over the uk? I'm not sure we have them up north. It's just a big play room but maybe not the best type for his age. Xx

There were 10 of us and a pretty small house but I guess we did fit okay enough to make it work. My other plan had been to have more people and hire a room at a pub or a scout hut/village hall and get some soft play bits in plus the buffet again.

Close family at home with a few helium balloons he can pull at the string !! Hours of entertainment
