Hi have to "say a few words" at a family gathering for my mums 60th on Sunday (36 people actually) and I want to propose a toast to her. I don't want to just get up and say Happy 60th Mum, but don't want to ramble on for ages, short and sweet i think! Thing is, I have no bloody idea what to say. I have looked for poems, what happened on this day 60 years ago etc but there isn't really much I can find.
My Dad died a couple of years ago and I am the only one to do this otherwise I would pass the buck to someone else.
Can anyone give me any tips (keep it clean as there will be children present!).
