As the title states really. In my family we've always worn the traditional long gown, so I assumed I'd do the same for my son. I was looking forward to seeing him in it, especially with the cute bonnet ðŸ˜
However, all our family christenings have been done when we were approx 6-8 weeks so there's no chance that a family gown is going to fit my 99th percentile 8mo 🙃
I was looking to buy a new one for him when my mum told me she thought it would be odd for an 8 month boy to wear one. She said I should just find a nice white outfit instead. It took me by surprise as my family does usually do everything the 'traditional' way. I'm curious if anyone agrees or disagrees with her?
And if you agree with her, any alternative outfit suggestions? I'm not a fan of adult-type clothes on babies, such as mini suits and things like that, so I'd rather steer away from those.
Thank you! X
