has anyone had a confirmation party for their dc. Or if not, what did you do to celebrate. Dcs confirmation is at 7 at night at after cake and coffee at the school won't finish till 9. Is that too late to go out or would you go at the week-end instead.

Could you maybe do a cold buffet and go back to your house after, that way they could go to bed, but as they are 10 would probably enjoy going out.

And I think on the day as then iot loses its specialness

Hi, My DS's confirmation was at 7 also. All the parents had to take a plate of finger foods, and we had supper at the hall afterwards. I think its too late to have any thing afterwards, and I have smaller kids so we came home and put them to bed. I much prefer a morning service where you can go to lunch after the morning tea.
