Hi all.

Its my DS Christening in a few weeks time, we have about 30 people comming and to our house after the afternoon service for food/drinks.

Can anyone suggest easy to prepare, buffet food?

I have ordered a whole Salamon which I was going to serve with crusty bread, savoury filo pastry tarts things, nice selection of hams and cheese, scones with clotted, cream and jam and cake of course.

honey and chilli sausages? they lovely finger food - 30 cocktail sausages, 3 tbls of honey, 2 tbls of chilli sauce, mix in a bowl and cook in the oven as normal. Kids love these as well.
things you can prepare the day before are really handy, how about making up a load of chicken curry and making rice on the day, that always gos down well.
What you have already sounds lovely, don't go to too much trouble and pick things that can be prepared ahead of time, you need to enjoy the day too!
I'll try and remember more exciting ideas!

Sticky chicken wings. Cover the wings in a mixture of honey, soy and ginger bake in a hot oven till they're sticky and caramalised. Equally good hot or cold.

Pumpernickle bread. Cover with cream cheese FIRST then cut into squares and put a piece of pickle or herb on each square. Canapes for the vegetarians.

Mini pittas filled with a variety of bits and pieces e.g. bulgar salad, falafel, meatballs or hummous and spring onion.

Had a buffet for 60 after DS's Christening at home. What a nightmare. Fortunately it was fine because I somehow don't think they would have all fitted in the house at one time. You could put grapes out with the cheese - they're pretty easy! Also pate that people can help themselves to.

For DS's I made too huge trifles which are quite easy and go along way but that depends whether you want to bother with bowls and spoons etc. But to be honest what you've got sounds lovely.
