Allergies

How do people cater for multiple allergies at parties? We have about 30 kids coming, some with allergies including nuts and sesame. 5th birthday party. I don't have time to make much from scratch unless it can go in the freezer as working full time. Would you make up snack boxes for those kids, or is that singling them out? Then there's the cake. Do you get a big one then an allergy suitable one for those who can't have it? I really don't want to offend or leave anyone out but at the moment I am clueless

Nuts and sesame I would just avoid in any of the food - should be fine for a 5yr old party because they don't generally figure in children's party food. For cakes you could do cupcakes as standard to take home. Keep any allergen free ones to one side, ideally with allergen free icing on. Some pull apart cupcakes would be fairly easy to then have different ones on the side.

It isn't too hard to find ready made savoury food that is suitable for nut allergy sufferers. Sesame can be a bit tricky with bread products but is doable. Cakes are more challenging but there is stuff available in the supermarkets eg the range by Just Love cakes which are sold in many supermarkets. I would message the mums of the kids with allergies and ask for recommendations about the food. As a mum of a child with a peanut allergy I am always happy to assist like this when he's invited to a party. If you would be getting "safe" food for the kids with allergies anyway then it's probably simpler just to get the same things for everyone?
