One of my friends is retiring at the end of March, looking for ideas of gifts.

Widowed, has everything she needs, doesn't like chocolates, not seen her loads (covid) so struggling for ideas. Oh but has a sore back. Please help

When I retired my DC bought me an easel and paints. You don’t say how much you want to spend but theatre vouchers or membership of English Heritage (20% off at the moment) or an Art Fund membership?
Maybe an Alexa so she can listen to the radio and podcasts?

If it were for me, I’d much rather a really decent radio!

(Why can’t I retire?)

Massage vouchers maybe? Or a really nice spa certificate. When my mom retired my sister and I did her a corporate calendar (with the help of her colleagues who she's friends with) since she really loved her company and it went down well. It had pictures of her colleagues, company logo, etc. We booked her favorite restaurant to have a dinner, too. She didn't really want any gifts but she liked what we organized.
