PLease advice !!!

hi everyone ... i m pregnant with 2nd one (31weeks) and our house is being renovated /.... my dd is celebrating her 4th b day in feb and i dont know what to do for it ... i am quite big and with the house being a tip i can't have party there and feel like its too much to have a big party in hall etc... ( my father died two months ago and i'm struggling abit at times )
i thought about asking her to choose a friend to take somewhere and do something special .any ideas?.. has anyone done that or been in a similar position .... am i mean not to do party in hired hall ? just feel its a lot of work with everything else going on ..
does anyone have any ideas

I think at 4 it is fine to take a special friend to the cinema and then to pizza hut
there is no law to say every b/day must e marked with 30 kids in a hired hall
even popcorn and dvds at home in the afternnoon with a special friend will be fine
at that age my ds would have loved nothing more than to go to the zoo with his granparents and come home to b/day cake

You mean you are not going to have a hidiously loud pary atthe local soft play like every body else???

My dd is 4 on Saturday and we are going to have a girly day. We are going to go shopping in town and then have lunch somewhere. In the afternoon we are going to go to the cinema and then I am taking her to a cinderella experience that the local zoo is running post Christmas.
She doesn't seem to be bothered about not having a party although I will take a cake and some party food into nursery for her on Friday and the money I have saved on not having a party will be spent on spoiling her
