Please can you critique my draft timings for DD’s birthday party? She will be 4 and have booked the village hall, hopefully around 15-20 children will come.

Arrive 1430
Entertainer (dance/party games) 1445 - 1545
Party tea 1545 - 1615
Free play/balloons/craft 1615 - 1630

Does that sound enough/about right?

Perfect!

Agreed. Food might not take that long, especially in the middle of the afternoon, but you can just turn some music on when they get restless.

You might find it easier to do the cake at the beginning of the meal, so you can cut it while they're sat down and be available in the last 15 mins to supervise them and talk to parents as they drift back. Clearing up and cutting/wrapping cake always seems to take longer than you'd think.

What MissCreeAnt said, the cake cutting always takes longer than you'd expected. Turning on some music or playing a birthday Smartshow 3d video for the kids can give you some more time to do the preparations.
