I've booked the entertainer but as my dd1 (16) will be having a few of her friends around I was wondering whether I should rope them into face painting or tatooing for the younger children. My daughter has voiced her concern about the children looking like clowns if the face painting does not look as its supposed to be , but i have heard some stories about children reacting to tatoos, your opinions please!

we love both!

you'd obviously want to run it by the parents first.

I'd prefer face painting. Wouldn't be happy with my 5yo having pretend tattoos.

DD wouldn;t be able to do either as she reacts to face paint. I wouldn;t be happy woth fake tattoos either , but know lots that do.

We had a face painter who also did tattoos at ds's birthday when he was about 5, and it was a great success. dh took a photo of each child with their face painted and we sent it with the thankyou letter which went down well. If you are getting your dd to do the face painting, make sure you use professional quality face paints, those kits from woolies and Smith's are pretty useless. I think the best brand is called Snazaroo or something like that.
