invitation just come through the door for halloween fancy dress party on wednesday night

but i have got no money for costumes. As in, I have £2.36 in my purse, and I won't have any money til Friday when tax credits go in the bank. I have no spare sheets to cut up and I don't want to wear a binbag cos I can't stand the bloody things. What else can I do apart from say I can't go?!

Hmm. What do you have that you could customise - do you have a red dress, perhaps? Make a headband with horns out of silver foil, also a pointy tail, and voila! you are a sexy little devil!

dd1 has got a witches outfit i might be able to squeeze her into and ds1 has got a pirates of the carribean one with that vloke with the 'wriggly face' just got to sort me and ds2 and dd2

ok, erm......they wouldnt want to see me in my pjs as they aren't the most decent of attire shall we say

ive got black trousers. a long white skirt which im not even sure i can get in cos i bought it last year. erm. few pairs of jeans and bog standard tshirts of various kinds, but nothing i would mind ripping etc IYKWIM. i dont even own any face paints oh sod it. i'm just going to ring and say i can't go.

Tesco have got black capes for less than 50 I think. And they had face paint sets for less than a pound.

wear your wedding dress and put lots of red lipstick coming out of your mouth, and you can be the bride of dracula or whoever.

(if you want to wear your wedding dress that is!)

If you have long hair brush it all over your face and put a mask on the back of your head. Wear anything you want but walk into the party backwards and say you didn't have time to screw your head on properly.

powder your face with flour if you don't have face paint - zombie is a good one.
