Lockdown birthday fun

Any ideas for DS birthday soon to be 9. Happy to make an effort in the house re a theme or an event evening? Any suggestions welcome - personally would like to avoid anything ‘zoom’ orientated.

Do you have a garden? Mixing indoors is prohibited . Depends what tier your in though.

It depends on the advice for your area and when it is really, how many people are you planning on having?

If you have a garden you could get a fire pit going and a gazebo to keep everyone warm and dry, maybe a tent for the kids.

I guess it would be a "camping" theme - you could toast marshmallows, cook hot dogs, cups of soup/chilli from the slow cooker inside, have a hot chocolate bar for everyone to make their own with cream/sprinkles/sweets. For entertainment i'd get glow sticks/torches/sparklers, play hide and seek, have a "treasure hunt" for some random prizes hidden in the bushes.

If you don't have a garden then I suppose it's likely just you and your extended household if you have one - decorate the house, get a disco lightbulb, play some games, music as usual
