Normally I am fairly organised but since DS2 (DB3) has arrived my life has been in a spin.

Anyway, it is DS1 birthday on Saturday, he is having a Halloween party:

4.00pm friends arrive
4.30pm food (doing food boxes with ham roll, crisps, drink, cheese string, fruit bar thing and a treat item of some sort).

Going to do a pin the nose on the pumpkin game.

Musical monsters, like statues but with the kids pulling scarey faces and doing monster poses.

Pumpkin pinata, got some dracula teeth sweets, spiderman chocolates and will put some cheap rubber bats or skeletons in there.

Got iced ring biccies to hang from the washing line for them to eat with no hands.

Apple bobbing.

Finish at 6.30.

Sound OK?

Sounds brilliant! They'll have a great time! You've given me a few ideas for our upcoming halloween party, musical monsters is a great one and the biccy thing. Cool!

Yes, perfect but just so you know my invitation didn't arrive, I'm assuming it's the postal strike...

sounds fab - hope you all have a lovely time (how old is he, btw?)

He is going to be 6, I am told no pass the parcel because that is for babies

Glad you think OK

Oh, and I went to the zoo and got some insect slime, slime with a plastic insect in it for them to take home with a slice of cake, don't do party bags!

Sounds like a wonderful party WCL, well done! I'd suggest you perhaps have a couple of other games up your sleeve, sometimes time passes more quickly than you expect (been there!) .
e.g. instead of pass the parcel, you could do "pass the witches hat" or similar. Pass the hat, when music stops, person holding/wearing the hat is out.
Big fave of mine from when I was a child, and big fave with my DCs too was the mars bar game. Roll a dice, if you get a 6, you have to put on hat, scarf, gloves and use a knife and fork to open a mars bar/cut a bit off/eat it. You can keep going til someone else gets a 6. You could use halloween dressing up stuff instead if you have it.
It does seem like you have enough planned, but easier to think ahead of potential extras than on the day when you'll have your hands full! Have a wonderful party!
