I've been invited to my brothers step daughters wedding in december and they have requested money as a gift. How much would be a reasonable amount in your opinions ???
thanks

£20 - £25

Do you think of her as a neice?

Hulababy · 03/10/2007 10:03

This is why I hate giving money as a present!

How much would you have spent on the present? Give cheque for about that amount.

SenoraPostrophe · 03/10/2007 10:03

depends on how well you know her and how much you can afford. since she's family, I'd say £30-50 unless you'll have to pay a lpot to go to the wedding.

I assume you're not close though. why don't you just call her your neice?

Hulababy · 03/10/2007 10:04

I think £20-£25 is fine

I don't really consider her my niece. She's not much younger than myself. We get along well and she's a lovely girl but wouldn't say we were close. I'm coming from italy but not just for this wedding, got another one (sisters step sister !!)and an unveiling and of course a nice cold xmas !!
