I'm having a mini halloween party for DD and ten school friends, does anyone have any food/recipe/games suggestions??
Would be much appreciated.

Well, I'm doing the same as you, Tesco have some great decorations, skeleten or pumpkin tinset etc.

For food so far I am having mini green jelly with worms.

Green buns with orange icing and black spiders on top

Other than that I am stuck (got some fab stuff today, stick on bats for the walls, window silhouettes of cats and witches etc, I might even be getting excited myself (grin)

We do pumkin carving, apple bobbing, pin the nose on the witch, we make masks and hats and we have scary music.

Last year I made mini pumkin faces using oranges. i hollowed them out and added the flesh to raspberry jelly and then refilled the carved oranges with it and served it as pudding. the kids loved it.

what do you class as very scary music?

dustystar · 29/09/2007 16:44

Its not scary really but a cd of supposedly Halloween music - has things like The Monster Mash on. The kids seem to like it though.

Brilliant thanks for all the ideas, Dd is only 6.10 so her other parties were pretty simple, this time I actually need to make an effort, the only thing i can remember from previous years is the halloween cds I have (one has creaks and cackles and stuff, the other is songs like addams family and monster mash.)
Also we always made witches brew which is just lemonade with green food colouring and 'scary' sweets in it, like jelly crocodiles and things.
