Hi. Me and DH have decided to get married next May abroad, just with close family. I have no idea where to start so I could do with some experiences, good and bad ?
There will be a couple of young kids going, including my DD, who will be 2.5. First thoughts are
1 - fairly short flight, europe ideally
2 - need to keep cost down as we´re paying (prob 14 adults and 4 kids)
3 - want somewhere romantic

any ideas?

we got married in the Ice hotel in northern sweden. Flight was a couple of hours I think and it wasn't too expensive. Its hard to say what the wedding itself was as we booked it as part of a package that included extra days in Stockholm and lots of activites. Then extra people can be as cheap as you need really because they have cabins which can be booked pretty cheaply. The agency we booked through have closed down but if you google ice hotel weddings there are lots of people doing it. We did it a few years ago when it wasn't a particularly popular destination.

Have a great time, we got married abroad in Maui, was fab, however it was a 33 hour flight so not ideal for you. We did however look at Italy/France but there are certain conditons such as being in the country for ? days beforehand (may have been 40 days - but must have changed by now)
