Naming Ceremony - how to involve 2.7 DS?

Basically the title says it all - we're having a simple back garden naming ceremony for ds2 - basically DH saying a few words, a toast and then a party, did the same for ds1 and it was lovely - it's a couple of days before his birthday so will have cake etc as well. We really want to involve DS1 whos 2.7 but haven't got a clue how to go about this .

Please someone help ....

Let him decorate the cake. He can really let rip on it. It will be charming and all the guests will praise him...

Thanks spud - great idea - but I was thinking more of ways to involve him in the actual namingy bit

get him to give ds1 a gift as part of the ceremony?

How is he in front of people? Would he maybe sing a song ("Happy naming day to you" or something)?

dd1 held a special candle at dd2s christening - she was 22months old. I know yours isn't a religious ceremony but you could still have a candle!

Great ideas thanks - although not convinced he will sing in front of people - hard enough to get him to do it in front of me .... but if I WANTED him to be quiet of course he'd sing away ... prob the Thomas theme tune!

Our DD1 gave DD2 a bracelet and put it on her, and then gave her a kiss. She was 3.5. I don't think she could have managed much more tbh
