Hi guys,

I need some inspiration. If you could choose your favourite 3 things you like to see on a buffet what would it be ?

I'm planning my baby shower party for around 40 people. It's in the day time

Wanting some ideas!!! I've looked online but I'm curious what different individual people like to see at a buffet. Thanks guys xxx

Potato salad, a lovely Mediterranean salad with olives and a balsamic dressing, hummous with crudités and I'm happy. If hot buffet, a wedding I went too was all jacket potatoes with three or four fillings and salad options. Simple and delicious.

NO sandwiches.

Bruschetta, halloumi fries, blini with smoked salmon and caviar, Nigella's cocktail sausages - I could go on. My dh does amazing canapés.

My colleague did a USA-themed buffet:
Mini pulled pork sliders
Mini hot dogs (using finger rolls and chipolatas)
Onion rings
Sweet corn salad
Mozzarella sticks
Southern fried chicken strips
BBQ sauce, American mustard, ketchup

Pudding:
Rocky road, brownies, New York cheesecake

I’d do an afternoon tea buffet.
Ham sandwiches, cream cheese and celery sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches. Perhaps some smoked salmon ones.
Scones, jam, cream.
Cakes and tea. Proper lemonade. Sorted.
