Can you please throw some ideas at me for birthday parties. My DC, DD4 and DD6 have their birthday’s within a month of each other so ideally I’d like them to have a joint party. There would be approx 20 kids in total mixture of family and class mates.

I like an old fashioned community centre party with games. And perhaps a bouncy castle if you like.
Games that have gone down well with my lot are:
Duck, duck goose
Flour pie (make a pile of flour using a small bowl as a mould. Place a ring on the top. Players take it in turns to cut a piece from the pie until the ring falls. Losing player has to pick up the ring with their teeth)
Kippers (cut out fish shapes from newspaper. Kids have to race the fish by hitting the floor behind the fish with rolled up newspaper)
Any parachute games. Especially good as cooperative so no tantrums from sore losers.
Chocolate game (players roll a dice. If you roll 6 you have to put on a load of dressing up clothes and eat a bar of chocolate with a knife and fork)

Since you have some 6 year old I'd also include a pinata. This tends to be boring with younger kids who lack the strength for a good whack at it. But brilliant for slightly bigger kids. They go mad for it. Its a tiny bit scary (but brilliant) how aggressive they get Grin
