DD1 (7) is having a party in the house, she says she wants pink party everthing (cups, plates, napkins etc), I was looking today and the pink stuff was twice the price of multicoloured (not so girly stuff). It is all paper, all going to be binned after 2 hours. So I give in and go pink or be sensible and go cheap and multicoloured?

Why don't you compromise and get pink serviette and make some pink decs with crepe paper? Great idea is to cut crepe paper whilst its still rolled iyswim, and then hang all the individual strips across the top of teh door way, like a kind of curtain.
