do I have to buy something bible related or it is ok as long as it's a lasting gift rather than something that will be used up/go off/out of fashion?

Goodness when I was confirmed the last thing I wanted was a bible! A nice piece of jewellery (like a pandora charm bracelet that can be added to) will be perfect.
