13th birthday

My DDs best friend (who we are all really close to as I grew up with her Mum) turns 13 next month.

We keep hitting brick walls when it comes to an idea.

We've done the personalised cushion thing.
We've done a photo book.
We have done the themed gift hamper thing.

My DD has chatted with her about it and vetoed jewellery and anything personalised which has now hugely stumped me.

What on earth is left?

We want to get something special, but what?

DD also vetoed a driving experience for her.

I did wonder if a photo shoot where they get make up and hair done together might be nice and that hasn't been rejected.
What do you think?

You haven’t said how much you want to spend and you haven’t said what she’s like or what she’s into.

Sorry, no I didn't say a budget did I.
Around £30 - £40 (may possibly consider £50 - £60 as an absolute max if it was something that my DD was part of , ie an experience that would only really be lovely if it was shared with her BF).

The Lush and Paperchase ideas are lovely, really lovely, but I want the 13th present to be a bit more stand out / special.

I actually really like the cupcake decorating idea. She does like cooking.
I think the balloon thing would terrify her and her mum would probably kill me (she's a touch neurotic!!)
