Hi there,
If you don't receive a yes or no response to your dc's party invitation, do you assume that child is not coming or do you make them up a party bag just in case?
Would you approach the parent at school and ask them?

I would just ask them "can i just check if x is coming to the party, I'm working out how many bags to make". Simple as that x

Yes do ask the parent so you can plan for the child. Annoyingly, no reply does not mean they will not attend.
