Sick sibling - cancel party?

DD1 is meant to be having a birthday party on Sunday. DD2 was off school today feeling ill and has just vomited. We had a letter from the school this week saying norovirus is going round the school and a few children have had it in both DD1 and DD2's classes.

Do we cancel DD1's party on Sunday to minimise chance of passing on germs?

Or one of us stay home with DD2 other one take DD1 to her party (not bringing anything food etc from home)?

I would feel awful for anyone to catch it so think option 1 but not sure if this is over cautious as DD1 would not be exposing friends more than if she was at school with sick sibling at home.

DD2 has her birthday party next weekend so might end up having to cancel both parties Sad

How’s your daughter been since being sick ?

I would carry on with the party personally . Your daughter may feel better in which case she can go or worse case scenario one of you stays at home with her .

I would go ahead with the party. Like you said, no more risk to others than sending her to school, which you would do.
