First Birthday Entertainment Ideas

Hi,

I am based in Leicester. It's my daughter's first birthday soon. We want to host a big party to celebrate as its a really big deal for us and our families.

I am stuck on entertainment ideas and am looking to hire someone please can anyone share any suggestions?

I also need some advice on what type of food to serve at the party.

Never attended a child's birthday party before am totally clueless.

Are you having lots of one year old baby guests? Or your family/friends with children of a range of ages? It's hard to advise on ideas for an entertainer without knowing what the audience is going to be.

Thank you for replying AssassinatedBeauty there will be around 10 children between the ages 1 to 5. Rest will be adults and teens.

I would think a children's magician type entertainer might work for that age child, with simple magic tricks, balloons/bubbles, simple comedy etc.

In terms of food, I would usually do sandwiches (simple fillings like cheese, ham), crisps, cucumber/carrot sticks, dips, fruit (strawberries/grapes/blueberries maybe), sausage rolls, and so on.
