Party games for adults, please

Adult birthday party at home. There will be music in one room and hopefully some dancing, but before that it would be good to have some games. There will be about 25 people in total - four small groups who don't really know the other groups, with only me in common, so I'm looking for something that breaks the ice and gets people laughing. Charades is a bit meh. Any other ideas pls?

Cards against humanity if the group don't take offence too easily

My DD suggested that but I decided it wouldn't be suitable, but thanks anyway.

Linkee is quite a good team game. John Lewis were selling it just before Xmas for £11 I think

I went online and found some suggestions. One is for using the cards from games like Taboo and Headbanz and having people act out the words, like Charades. So you have to act out e.g. Marilyn Monroe, or Egypt, or popcorn. You have a timer. Another one is Name that Tune. I have a mixed cd of 40 hits from my era, and I'll just play a few seconds of each and people have to name the artist. Two teams. So I think I'm sorted :)
