i am about to celebrate my 40th, going away with dh, lost a stone in weight, half way thru new outfits, whole body to be waxed, nails etc and was thinking about a st tropez tan? anyone had one, is it worth it? i have a slight tan but didnt want to hit the pool looking like a milk bottle.

Sorry, never had a tan done but wanted to congratulate you on your weight loss, wish you a happy 40th and hopefully bump this for you into the bargain.

I had one.
Didn't think it was great but it was hand applied. Spray would probably be better.

Congratulations.
I was 40 last month.

Had one once - and it was really good but for the first 24hrs it did come off on sheets & clothes (wear balck not white ). Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate before hand. Made me feel like a million dollars which is how I needed to fee. It was a spray tan where I stool in a booth in paper pants and slowly rotated round...the things we do...
