Drinks for parents at party

It’s DS2s 5th Birthday party next weekend. He’s invited the whole of reception class plus a few other family friends. Just making a shopping list and wondering whether to get a couple of bottles of prosecco or some bottles of beer for the parents. I will offer tea and coffee, maybe Diet Coke too. Party is 4-6. What would you think if you went to a party with a drink for the parents? Most people will be walking as it’s village hall. DH thought it would be nice if it’s a nice summer afternoon/evening but don’t want a bad name for myself in the village!

I wouldn't do prosecco. And I wouldn't do both tea/ coffee AND alcohol. If you decide to go down the alcohol route, I'd do beer, cans of Pimm's & Lemonade and cans of G&T.

I think what you’re offering is a good selection.

I would def have drinks for the parents-
My DC parties at that age very sociable and I really enjoyed them-
most everyone had parents drinks.
I'd have prosecco and maybe wine and some beers.
Although the Pimms is a good idea too.
Probably a bowl of crisps or other simple nibbles.

It's a nice want to chat with other parents and at that age lots do still stay...

We decided against it. Weather was a bit rubbish here today so hubby decided to stick to tea and coffee.
Maybe next year...!
